Our Story

My late Aunt was a renowned Reflexologist and Aromatherapist, so I grew up using and valuing alternative medicine and as a result have always loved aromatherapy. Whilst I was pregnant with my second child, I was lighting my very expensive luxury candles all over my home, perhaps even more than usual, nesting away!

My husband was complaining that the candles were giving him headaches and making him feel nauseous, so I decided to do some research into the ingredients and discovered that they were full of harmful "fragrant" oils!

It was at that point I decided to do some further research in order to create my own candles and fragrances using 100% natural, essential oils and soy wax. No nasties; pure, natural and handmade with the finest ingredients I could source.

Suddenly I had complete control on what I was using around my precious family. My husband loved them and so did my friends and thus The Bird Box was born…

And by the way... so was my little girl, Cece, which leads me perfectly on to the next chapter and my further desires for The Bird Box ….

The Bird Box believes that where possible, every corporate entity has a clear responsibility to try and give back to a society that enables it's very existence.  It is with this belief that The Bird Box has committed to giving 5% of its profits to PLAN's "I'm a girl campaign".
